Materials You’ll Need
Step-by-Step Easy T-Rex Tutorial
Start by drawing a curved line for the top of the dinosaur’s head and snout.

Draw an outline connecting to the snout to form the open mouth and the lower jaw.

Draw a long, sweeping line curving all the way down from the back of the head to form the top of the tail.

Draw a curvy line dropping down from the lower jaw to create the neck and big round belly.

Connect the belly to the end of the tail by drawing the bottom line of the tail.

Draw two thick, stomping legs with claws resting at the bottom of the belly.

Draw two tiny arms sticking out from the chest area.

Draw sharp teeth inside the mouth, add a small eye, and draw some scales along the back!

Color your dinosaur green! Notice how there are no messy overlapping lines inside the body!

Contour Method: Drawing the outline as one continuous piece-by-piece shape means no erasing overlapping lines — a great technique for a clean final drawing!
Tiny Arms: Keep those arms extra small compared to the body — that’s one of the most recognizable and fun T-Rex features!
